The non-profit company DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG was founded in July 2016 by 10 well-known agricultural technology companies who had jointly recognized that smart farming only works if cross-manufacturer and cross-product data exchange is possible.

The consortium (currently over 85 partners) is open to further members along the entire agricultural value chain.

DKE-Data is based in Osnabrück, a high-quality location for knowledge-based companies and scientific institutions, especially in the agricultural environment.

The team of DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG:

Dr. Johannes Sonnen, born in 1975, completed an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic before earning a degree in agricultural machinery engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne and a doctorate in agricultural engineering from the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2006. He has been working in the agricultural machinery industry since 2006, and from June 2015 to March 2023 he was responsible for product and business management at DKE-Data. Since April 2023, Dr. Johannes Sonnen has taken over from Dr. Jens Möller as managing director of DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG. Johannes Sonnen grew up on a farm in Westphalia and currently lives with his family in Lower Saxony. He loves traveling and is an enthusiastic carnivalist.

Dipl.-Ing. Christoph Apke, born in 1970, has been responsible for product management at DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG. He studied information technology with a focus on computer science at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. He has been working in the agricultural technology industry since 2006, in the first step as an idea generator for an agricultural technology platform and from 2014 he was responsible for the product and partner management of a farm management system.  Christoph Apke lives with his family in Bielefeld and has discovered the restoration of agricultural machinery, especially Unimog, for himself in recent years.

Dipl.-Informatiker Oliver Rahner, born in 1983, is responsible for all technical topics in DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG, from the specification of the agrirouter to supporting our partners during implementation.

He studied Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich with a focus on Economics. From 2010 until 2018, he held different IT positions in the agricultural industry, most recently as Head of IT. After a two-year period working in IT consulting, he returned back into the agribusiness in the beginning of 2021 by joining DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG.

Felix Lammers, M.Sc., born in 1985, is responsible for IT service management at DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG and is therefore also involved in the development, implementation and commissioning of the agrirouter. He studied business informatics and economics at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and at the FernUni Hagen. From 2011 - 2022 worked in various IT functions at different companies, latest in the field of digital transformation in the oil & gas industry. Felix Lammers lives with his family in Lower Saxony and is interested in sports and home automation.

Dr. Jens Möller, born in 1960, studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig and, after obtaining his diploma, worked first as a research assistant and then as an academic councilor at the Institute for Agricultural Machinery at the TU Braunschweig. After completing his doctorate, he moved to the agricultural machinery industry, where he worked for one of the industry giants for over 20 years with increasing responsibilities. In 2014, he was appointed managing director of the newly founded DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG, which he led until March 2023. Jens Möller lives with his family in Westphalia, enjoys hiking and is an enthusiastic road cyclist.
