agrirouter under new management

Johannes Sonnen (PhD) is the new managing director of DKE-Data GmbH & Co KG. He replaces Jens Möller (PhD). His vision: Cross-manufacturer digitization of production processes across agriculture.

With effect from 1 April 2023, Johannes Sonnen (PhD) has been appointed as the new Managing Director of DKE-Data GmbH & Co KG. He took the reins from Jens Möller (PhD), who is now taking well-deserved retirement. Jens, who has worked in the agricultural machinery industry for over 20 years with increasing responsibilities, took over the management of the newly founded DKE GmbH at the end of 2014. Right from the start, he has been instrumental in shaping the success story of the agrirouter. After a 2-year concept phase for the legal and technical evaluation of a multi-vendor data exchange platform, DKE GmbH was transformed into today's DKE-Data GmbH & Co KG in July 2016 under Jens' leadership.

An experienced team member

Johannes has been working for the company for almost as long. The 47-year-old farmer's son joined DKE in the summer of 2015 after having worked in the agricultural machinery industry for several years. Before taking over the management of DKE-Data, he was responsible for product and business area development for more than 6 years: "I've been working on agrirouter almost from the beginning and I'm very happy to be part of this remarkable project."

A joint digitalisation journey

"The digitalisation of agriculture can only be successful if all companies in the agricultural sector pull together and pool their expertise. This is how the industry can support customers - both farmers and contractors - with an increasing amount of interoperable smart-farming tools to optimise production processes while complying with legal, environmental and economic requirements. At Smart Farming Days in June 2023, visitors can learn about smart-farming solutions that are already available today and tools that will be available in the future. "I'm looking forward to organising this event with my team," says Johannes.
